Stoneleaf - Natural Slate

This project involved the re-roofing an old Hospice which had been originally slated with grey Welsh Ffestiniog slates.

The building, which was to be developed into housing by Greenacre Developments, is in a conservation area of Chelmsford. The Stoneleaf Barco slate was chosen for two main reasons: its colour which resulted in the best match to the existing roof, and the ability to produce the diamond ornamental slates to replicate the original design.
